Nicole Kidman and Nicolas Cage are to play a married couple taken hostage in the action adventure Trespass, according to Variety, marking the first occasion that the two actors have taken starring roles in the same film. Joel Schumacher is in line to take the reins on the project.

The screenplay by Karl Gajdusek and Eli Richbourg centres on a couple seized by a brutal gang out to secure easy cash for their return. Everything is not as it seems, however, and the unexpected discovery of betrayal and deception causes further complications. It will be one of Kidman’s first films following a break from acting due to the birth of her daughter Sunday Rose. Producers are hoping to start production in Louisiana in August.

Meanwhile, Cage is in early talks to star in a second Ghost Rider film. The sequel to Mark Steven Johnson’s 2007 comic book movie about a stunt motorcyclist who gains supernatural powers after making a deal with the devil could be filmed by Crank’s Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, who are also in talks. Plot details are under wraps, but the movie looks set to be titled Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. The first film was received poorly by the critics, but garnered a more-than-respectable $228m at the global box office.

Kidman will be seen next in drama Rabbit Hole, with Aaron Eckhart, and also has rom-com Just Go With It on her slate for early 2011.

NICOLE Kidman is doing her best to stay out of the sun.
Sources say the fair-skinned star — who’s filming Just Go With It in tropical Maui, Hawaii — is making a big effort to ensure her skin doesn’t tan, and is reportedly using a specially formulated super strong sunscreen.
“Nicole does not tan, and working in the intense sun in Hawaii has been a challenge for her,” a movie insider reveals.
“She’s been a really good sport about it all, but she has begged the director to keep her out of the sun as much as possible.
“Her face is her fortune, and she protects it.”
Back in 2007, Kidman revealed that she kept out of the sun following a cancer scare.
“I never go in the sun,” she said at the time.
“I’ve had one skin cancer on my leg, and I rarely get in the sun, so that just shows you. They cut it out.
“Stay out of the sun, because it is the worst thing in terms of aging. I’m very medical. I come from a medical family.”

Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Aniston are filming Just Go With It together in Hawaii and the two have become fast friends.
“They realized they had a lot in common,” an insider told Star. “They got to talking about their lives and before they knew it, they had gabbed away for almost two hours.”
Like a lot of regular folks, the two talked about a couple of famous celebrities. In their case it was ex-husbands Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. Both Aniston and Kidman know what it’s like to be linked to a famous name, and then go through a public divorce.
“It was so therapeutic. Nic and Jen were doubled over in laughter making fun of the guys quicks,” said the insider. “Nothing was off-limits.”
Worse even for Pitt and Cruise, the two even discussed intimate details of their sex lives.
“Jen definitely didn’t have kind words to say about Brad,” another source said. “She told Nicole that he may be a sex symbol, but he could sometimes be a selfish lover.”
Jen even told Kidman that the sex had all but ended by the end of her marriage to Pitt.
Nicole Kidman had no kind works for Tom Cruise, either.
“Jen was taken aback after learning they sometimes went a long time without affection,” said a source.
Even more details came out as the two continued their talk.
“Tom always had to be in charge of every little detail of their lives,” said the source.

Nicole Kidman has reportedly warned Jennifer Aniston against dating “flashy celebrity types”.
The Hollywood stars have been filming new movie Just Go With It together in Maui, Hawaii, and have become close friends. They have bonded over similarities in their lives, with Jennifer asking Nicole how she keeps her marriage to country musician Keith Urban so fresh.
The flame-haired actress was happy to open up, and then decided to give Jennifer some tips on how to achieve happiness. “Nicole didn’t mince her words either. No doubt she warned Jennifer about against constantly dating flashy celebrity types because as long as she’s going for men who are Hollywood players, she’ll have trouble meeting a good guy,” a source told Look magazine. “Jen seems determined to start weeding out the men she can tell aren’t ready for a relationship, because it’s stopping her from searching for a long-term love.”
Jennifer has previously been married to Brad Pitt. She had an on/off relationship with musician John Mayer which ended last year, and has since been linked to her The Bounty Hunter co-star Gerard Butler.
She has previously said she hates being seen as someone desperate to find love, explaining she is happy on her own.

Nicole Kidman was among the stars at last night’s Music City Keep on Playin’ benefit at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
But it was Brad Paisley who set the tone for the evening after kicking off the three-hour event with a performance of his hit Welcome to the Future, reports The Tennessean. He and his wife actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who co-hosted the show, donated $100,000.
As of 11:45 p.m. ET, more than $1.7 million had been donated to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

Nicole Kidman has praised her “wonderfully opinionated” mother for making her the woman she is today.
The 42-year-old actress won two prizes at the InStyle Women of Style Awards in Sydney last night. She was unable to attend the ceremony as she is filming new movie Just Go With It in Hawaii, and sent her mother Janelle and sister Antonia to collect the award on her behalf.
When the women were onstage, ceremony organisers played a video acceptance speech Nicole had made before the event, in which she paid tribute to the “amazing” influence of the two women.
“I grew up in a family of women who are very strong and wonderfully opinionated,” Nicole said, while blowing kisses to Janelle and Antonia. “My mother was such a huge influence on me, and my education.
“She encouraged me to have a voice and ultimately to give back, so to then be recognised for that makes me very, very proud. It’s something I want to continue doing.”
Nicole said she was enjoying her own role as a mother, after giving birth to daughter Sunday Rose in 2008. She said she was proud to have worked so hard her whole life because it means she can have time off to watch her daughter grow up.
“Right now I’m very much in a place of nurturing: I love my family, I love being able to take care of my family and I’ve worked hard so that I can do that,” Nicole said.

Suspiciously line free Nicole Kidman has come under fire from Amanda Holden today, who claims the actress has “ruined her face” from having had too much Botox.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, who formerly used to be quite partial to the muscle paralysing serum (but has now given up using it) has said that almost “every” actress ends up using Botox in a bid to stay younger, however she reckons some stars have taken the habit a bit too far. She said:
“I don’t know a single actress who hasn’t done it – that’s a fact. Just get them to frown for you. As an actress, you need your face to be mobile.” She added: “Nicole Kidman has ruined her face.”

After Catherine Zeta Jones, Nicole Kidman is the new add on to the super skinny brigade of Hollywood actress.
With her bony breastplate on the show Kidman looked like she could do with a hearty meal but the 42-year-old actress was seen heading out to get some fat-free frozen yoghurt with her husband Keith Urban, Daily Mail online.
The Oscar-winning actress was pictured holding 21-month-old daughter Sunday Rose tight in her arms as the family headed out for the day in Studio City, Los Angeles.
Kidman seems to be taking a cue from Zeta Jones who was recently snapped looking noticeably slimmer than normal after appearing on Broadway in a revival of ‘A Little Night Music’.
After her performance in New York, the actress revealed her thin arms and legs.

Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman have been named the godparents of media mogul Rupert Murdoch’s two young daughters. The “Australia” co-stars helped celebrate the baptism of Grace, eight, and Chloe, six, the billionaire’s daughters with wife Wendi Deng, in a ceremony at what is believed to be the baptism site of Jesus Christ beside the River Jordan.

The event was hosted by Jordan’s Queen Rania Al Abdullah, who invited Jackman, Kidman and the Murdochs for a three-day tour of her country after the christening. The group, which also included Kidman’s husband Keith Urban and Ivanka Trump, sat down for a special dinner before visiting the ancient city of Petra, Wadi Rum and the oxygen-rich Dead Sea.

The royal tells Britain’s Hello! magazine, “I am happy to be sharing this land that I love with my friends. We’re a small country but we’re rich with history and culture… Our guests were blown away by the diversity and depth of what Jordan has to offer but, most of all, they told me they were taken in by the warmth and kindness of our people.”
