Nicole Kidman has revealed that she wants to spend Christmas in Australia because the weather is so good.

The Moulin Rouge star, who grew up in Sydney, is spending the festive season down under with husband Keith Urban, 17-month-old daughter Sunday Rose and their extended family.

Kidman told Bang Showbiz: “I like a hot Christmas – in both the weather and the meal. I’ll spend it with my family, I’m not interested in material things. I want good food, good family and good health.”

Urban recently claimed that he is looking forward to a traditional Christmas at home, saying: “We’ll be able to spend it with all of our extended family on Nicole’s side and my side, so we’re really looking forward to that.

“My sister-in-law on Nicole’s side has four children and my brother has two, so there’ll be lots of kids running around.”
